Sunset Crest
This popular estate is located at St. James, on the west coast of the island. About a 30 minute journey from the airport, Sunset Crest enjoys an excellent position, just a short walk from the beach and shopping mall.
The Sunset Crest Condominium complex is located within 5 acres of gardens, which include numerous mango trees and a large swimming pool. There are an abundance of sun loungers and tables for your use. Should one wish to relax inside the secure gardens and eat by the pool one can always enjoy a wonderful Chinese meal at the resort's very own restaurant, which is poolside. The restaurant is open for lunch and dinner.
For the more active person water sports are available from the beach such as, scuba diving, water skiing, parasailing, snorkelling and other fun activities.
Catamaran cruising with snorkelling to see the turtles, tennis, golf, horse riding, safari tours to see the Island can be booked from the apartment To dial a local number, dial 9 and then the number, these calls are free.
There is plenty of nightlife at the local hotels and clubs for those who want it. We have a folder in the apartment containing information in respect of places of interest and restaurants.
BEACH
All beaches are public in Barbados. The west coast has an abundance of popular golden beaches, with some more busier than others. The Coach House have now leased the old Baku Beach Club, which is a short 2 minute walk from Golden View and offers Sunset Crest residents use of the beach, bar and pool facilities. Sunset Crest Owners still have use of the pool and loungers, as they did when it was Baku Beach Club. English Premier League Football, Rugby and Formula One can be seen at the adjacent Surfside Restaurant.
RESTAURANTS
Some excellent restaurants are located near Sunset Crest. Nearby one can find Zaccios Bistro (ex-Cocomos), which is a lovely beach bistro with beautiful views of the sunset and offers a happy hour for drinks before 6.30pm. Tides restaurant is a truly wonderful setting, serves excellent fish dishes, and is located just a short walk away. The local buses run constantly up and down the west coast road from Bridgetown to Speightstown and only cost BDS1.50 each for the journey - a cheap way to get to all the different restaurants up and down the coast. There really is an abundance of restaurants up and down the west coast, and on the rest of the island, with style, prices and food to suit all tastes and budgets.
SHOPPING
From groceries to gifts, all is available at the Sunset Crest Mall, located just 400m from Golden View. There is internet access available in the mall, as well as a Bean & Bagal, where breakfasts are served 'til late morning. The supermarket offers lunch specials and sells everything you will need during your stay. From snacks, crisps, biscuits and sweets, to fish and joints of meat and a full range of vegetables - all is available.
