Location

Golden View is situated on the west coast of Barbados in the parish of St. James, west of St. James’ cemetery and approximately fifteen minutes walk from the famous Sandy Lane golf course. There are several prestigious hotels along this coast: - Sandy Lane, Glitter Bay, Colony Club, Discovery Bay, Almond Beach Club and many others most of which have weekly entertainment and welcome visitors. This coastline has a continuation of magnificent beaches with safe swimming.

The complex was built in 1972. All the apartments are privately owned and because of its location and spaciousness it is in great demand. All the apartments face west overlooking the grounds and enjoy the evening sunset. Cruise liners can be seen from the balconies on the upper floors as they steam towards Bridgetown the capital.

The block of apartments is set in five acres of tropical gardens, with a large swimming pool that is ideal for swimming your morning lengths. Adjacent to the pool is a bar and restaurant who also provide food to take away.

There is a manned reception in the foyer and a security door into the complex; two lifts serve all four floors. At night, a security guard patrols regularly.

Golden View is situated near all amenities. There is a shopping centre with a well stocked supermarket, a pharmacist and staffed medical centre; there are also several banks including the“ First Caribbean International Bank” formally “Barclays”. The bank has a 'hole-in-the-wall' cash machine, which takes UK bank cards.

There is a very good Internet Cafe at the bottom of the road from the complex. Hourly or daily internet cards can be purchased at a very reasonable cost. English newspapers are also for sale there.
